Nourished Wellness was born to support women today, balancing multiple roles and responsibilities, supporting others around them and often finding themselves exhausted and burnt out . As active mothers, professionals and community members, we see that women increasingly give until their cups are empty, leaving them feeling more isolated, overwhelmed and emotionally drained than ever. To reclaim the birthright of a spacious and joyful life, it is critical for women to have access to compassionate, restorative support for well-being.

“Most of us have spent our whole lives being taught to believe everyone else's opinions about our bodies, rather than to believe what our own bodies are trying to tell us. For some of us, it's been so long since we listened to our bodies, we hardly know how to start understanding what they're trying to tell us, much less how to trust and believe what they're saying. To make matters worse, the more exhausted we are, the noisier the signal is, and the harder it is to hear the message.”

-Emily Nagoski, Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle

As an Embodiment Yoga Therapist™, Somatic Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner, intuitive healer and curator of restful moments, I am deeply committed to creating space for self-reflection and healing through compassionate and embodied practices where women can feel deeply nourished, supported and encouraged.

I came to my yoga practice nearly a decade ago to meet my body in the gentlest way I could find. I spent years simply learning to feel into my body and learning to listen and to respond to what it was asking for. Any class that said “gentle” or “restorative” had me hooked.

In 2019 I started looking for a yoga teacher training that matched my values and accommodate what I felt were the limitations of my body. Instead of simply a certification experience, I found what began the journey of my transformative Embodiment practice. My mentor Stefani Wilton of Mandorla Yoga Institute brought a truly compassionate, innovative lens to both my learning and my healing. Where I was in my body, as limited as it felt, was exactly where I needed to be. I was learning to be an Embodiment Yoga Therapist™ by experiencing reclamation of my own body, mind and spirit.

During this time, I was also supporting mothers in my community as a childbirth educator and postpartum support specialist. I spent nearly 7 years listening to, and learning from mothers, raw in their experience of motherhood, looking for community and support. I implemented western research-based methodologies in our support groups alongside complementary eastern and traditional healing practices. I moved alongside mothers in prenatal yoga classes and in their homes as they prepared for birth. All of these pieces wove together to complete the Embodied Birth™ Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga Teacher Training and the yoga therapy practices I use to support expectant and new mothers.

I completed my 1000 hour Embodiment Yoga Therapy™ designation in 2022 and now support women, mothers and beautiful, exhausted humans in Fort McMurray, Alberta and virtually throughout Canada.
